Hello, my name is Teresa and I'd like to welcome you to my updated website! Not too much has changed over the last year, but the changes we
have made will be found on the pet pages. This site encompasses a little something from all aspects of my life. From my home, family, friends and
beloved pets to my doll houses and miniature collection. In sharing, I hope that you will find inspiration enough to go out and make your life
beautiful.
So sit back in a comfy chair with a spot of tea and enjoy going through the site. If you've enjoyed your time here, please take the time to sign my
guestbook. I'd love to hear from you!
Thank you for coming!
I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and lived there for most of my life. My parents,
although divorced, still live in Edmonton. I am very close to my Mom and consider her to be one
of my best friends. My Dad loves golf and heads out to the course at every opportunity. We
still get together as a family for major functions, like my niece's graduation in May, 2005.
I have two sisters. My middle sister, Janie, lives in Calgary, Alberta with her husband and two
boys. My youngest sister, Sheri, lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and daughter. We
try to get together as often as possible and talk often on the phone.
I'd also like to give an honorable mention to my best girlfriend', Bernie, whom I've known since
the age of 6. She is like a sister to me and we've shared a lifetime of ups and downs together.
She lives in Edmonton, Alberta with her husband and son. She also has a daughter with two
kids of her own . . . so that makes my friend a 'Grandmother'!
I married my husband , Brian, my soul-mate and the love-of-my-life, in 1990. We enjoy a happy
family life with our three dogs, Shelby, Chloei, and Oliver and our three birds, Bijou, Picasso
and Keeya.

Welcome to Martens Manor est. 1990

We moved to Wisconsin in 2000 when Brian was offered a permanent position with a company here. We truly enjoy our new home in our new
country and have made many wonderful friends here. We have the best neighbors in Vern and Linda, who are always happy to 'let the dogs out' for
us.
I enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts from folk art painting, stained glass, cross-stitch, quilting and home decorating to my admitted obsession
with doll houses and all things miniature.
Some of you may know the story of how I entered the miniature world, but it begins like this . . . I woke up one sunny summer morning in 2005,
looking out the window to the site of a doll house sitting on my neighbor's curb on garbage day. I rushed to put some clothes on, stuck my feet in
some shoes and raced out the door . . . my heart beating up into my throat. At first I couldn't believe I would have such luck and thought maybe it
was an old plastic doll house. But to my great surprise it was a plywood doll house! I grabbed it up in my arms and ran all the way home with it.
I didn't know exactly what I had. It took a couple of weeks for me to realize, through an advertisement in a miniature magazine, that I had become
the proud owner of a 'Greenleaf Beacon Hill'. I spent the whole of that summer and beyond refurbishing the house; adding electricity, decorating,
furnishing and accessorizing. That doll house is now home to 'Mr. and Mrs. Pennethorne'. During the summer of 2006, I removed the kitchen wall
and added on a conservatory.
Now, let me begin by introducing you to my pets. Then we'll take a walk through my garden and finish up with tea and a tour of my doll houses
and miniatures. Then, if you like, you can stop in and visit with 'Pippi Longstocking' , she's always up for company! Enjoy!
